From Berlin, by way of Bulgaria, D E N A is the most interesting discovery I've made this week. Which is saying something because it's been a great week for music. I still don't know what to think about the acoustic version I first got sent, but the studio version (and the video below) are my jam.

I'm not sure what precipitated Michael Feuerstack abandoning the Snailhouse moniker and releasing music under his own name, but if (as I have) you've loved his work as Snailhouse, then you'll want to lie down in the Tambourine Death Bed when it's released by Forward Music Group. Particularly once you hear "Bones In The River."
Okay. I've come around on CocoRosie. I used to think they were willfully weird and annoying. Now I'm of the opinion they're willfully weird and awesome. "Gravediggress" promises good things for the next full-length, Tales of a Grass Widow, due in May on City Slang.
